First editor of Novine beogradskog _itali_ta. 1986 Lives in London, writing his first, yet unpublished novel A Jazz Novel, works as a chef in a restaurants. 1987-1989 As a correspondent for Radio Belgrade and Belgrade daily ÇPolitikaÈ writes from Europe, Mediterranean, Near and Far East, Africa, former Soviet Union, Asia, and United States. Stays outside his country for nearly two years. Writes as well for Yugoslav newsmagazines NIN, Vreme, Ko_ava, Borba, Knji_evne novine, Knji_evna re_, Re_... 1990 After first signs of war in former Yugoslavia, starts working for YUTEL Ð Yugoslav Television. Writes from Belgrade, Sarajevo, and Zagreb. 1991 After a few threats, lives a country. First to Greece, then Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, UK and US. During emigration writes his first novel Slepi putnik. In Europe, works as a chef in restaurants, in US, works as an editor in publishing house GLG-Chicago. 1992 At the end of a year, returns to Serbia, and works as a journalist in Radio Belgrade. Fired because of anti-war commentary. 1993 Transfer to opposition Radio B92, for a position of World Service editor, and literary critic. Founds Literary Club Jazzbina, Belgrade. Publishes his first book Grand Hotel, in three editions. 1994 Joins UN Peace Corps (ICFY Mission) at Yugoslav Ð Bosnian border. Publishes his first novel Slepi putnik, which is proclaimed as one of ten best novels of the year. 1995-1999 After his service, returns to Belgrade, and works as Drama editor for Radio Politika, and director of Documentary programme in Television Politika During that time wrote and directed fifty one original radio plays and radio phonic essays, and dramatised for radio and directed hundred and ninety one prose and poetic works of Yugoslav and foreign authors. Directed twenty documentary films for television. Publishes his second novel Op_ta mesta (Laza K.
