These are not battle casualties. If two armies war, some casualties are to be expected. No, these were murders by murderers we were trying to train, so they would be able to take over the defense of their nation. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey, went to Afghanistan and met with Gen. John Allen and discussed the problem. Dempsey said, "A percentage is infiltration, and a percentage is cultural..." It is time to face the fact that our Good Samaritan intentions to train the Afghans amounts to "casting pearls before swine," which the Bible says not to do. It is a mistake for an individual to disobey God, and it is a mistake for a nation to disobey God. The Afghans don't want us there training them. They want us dead. Muslims see us as "Infidels," that is, non-Muslims. Why would a Muslim want to be trained by an Infidel? He wouldn't, of course. Hamid Karzai, head of state of Afghanistan has been reported to be a corrupt politician, apparently involved in the drug trade, who clearly has a bad attitude, demanding the U.S. pay reparations to Afghanistan. No, we don't owe Afghanistan reparations. They offended first by training and harboring terrorists, such as those who carried out the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks. When we asked they surrender the terrorists, they would not. Let the Afghans pay us reparations for the damage done on 9/11. After Jesus said, "Don't cast pearls before swine," it is a very serious mistake for us to be doing just that in Afghanistan. Barak Obama recently went to church. Apparently, he would like to have the Christian vote. But if Obama were a Christian, why won't he obey Jesus and stop casting pearls before swine in Afghanistan? This is even further evidence that Obama's not a Christian.* Afghanistan was like something out of the dark ages before we got there, and it is very likely they will revert to that after we leave there. There is no need for more Americans to die there. We should stop casting pearls before swine. Fred Hoehn *See my recent article, “Why Obamacare is Unconstitutional.” Open Letter to Congressman Rohrabacher by Frederick Hoehn, copyright 2012, all rights reserved 12/29/12 Dear Congressman Rohrabacher: I saw you today on C-SPAN. You were saying that NASA is pushing the envelope and helping us with new technology. You are quite mistaken, Congressman Rohrabacher. I'm a hardware and software Engineer, myself. Some have said the space program and NASA gave us the microprocessor, which led to personal computers. Nonsense. The microprocessor was invented at Intel to meet the need of a Japanese client of Intel that wanted a set of integrated circuit chips to make calculators with. Your vision may be somewhat slanted due to the fact that NASA has so many facilities in your state of California. Congressmen are expected to "bring home the bacon" for their constituents. But bacon for California is not what the nation of the U.S.A. needs at this point. Now that we've gone to the moon and back, what do we have to show for our money except a pile of extremely expensive moon rocks? NASA gave us the Hubbel Space Telescope. And what has that done for us? It has shown us that beyond the stars that we had been aware of, there are many more stars than we realized. As far as shedding light on the origin of the universe, NASA can't do that. The proper text book for that is the book of Genesis in the Holy Bible. And, by the way, if God decides to destroy all or part of the earth with an asteroid, NASA won’t stop Him. What few benefits might come from NASA are far outweighed by the cost of obtaining those benefits. At a time now of multi-trillion dollar national debt, the fact is that our nation can't afford NASA. You folks in Congress haven't even solved the Fiscal Cliff problem, nor balanced the budget. From now on, there will be difficult financial times. It is time not to clear space of space debris, but to scrap NASA, and abandon the space station, which are unnecessary financial drains on a nation that can no longer afford them. More bacon for NASA would be detrimental to our nation. Frederick E. Hoehn Distress of Nations with Perplexity by Fred Hoehn Current events show the confusion in the world.  Distress of Nations with perplexity, just like Jesus said.  Financial problems.  The European Central Bank is trying to bail out member nations that are close to bankruptcy. Our United States has its own very heavy national debt with no deliverance apparent in the short term. People are storming U.S. Embassies in several foreign nations. Obama made a lot of promises when he was running for office.  He’s been poor at keeping his promises. Not everything about Romney is perfectly attractive, but I’m sure he’ll do a better job than Obama, and I’m sure his values are more American than Obama’s values. There are only two choices for President.  No doubt Romney is the better solution. In the Bible, Book of Numbers, toward the end of the book we read, “Blood defiles the land, and the land can’t be cleansed from the blood shed in it except” by executing the murderer.  Thus God himself requires capital punishment.  It’s my understanding that in Europe, they won’t execute murderers.  That’s very much contrary to scripture.  God is against that.  No wonder what seems like half of Europe is on the verge of bankruptcy. If you want things to go well, you don’t provoke God to anger, you try to follow his rules, as listed in the Holy Bible. Letter to Glenn Beck by Frederick Hoehn copyright 2011, all rights reserved 05/26/11 Dear Glenn: I was listening to your program this morning, and you spoke of "The Righteousness of the Nations." Nice phrase, Glenn. Almost sounds like it might be right out of the Bible. Righteousness is a good aspiration for anyone to have. And God wanted ancient Israel to have it. You are probably a religious man, or you wouldn't be so much in favor of righteousness. But Glenn, you don't get people to join you in fervor for righteousness, unless they have a foundation for righteousness. But you might say that Americans have a sense of what is right. Yes, many of them do, and where did it come from? From Judeo-Christian teachings that we have had. The founding fathers were God-fearing men, to a large extent. But you've probably heard about "the corruption that is in the world through lust." 2 Pet 1:4 says “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” Most people have some desire to do what is right. But people often do what is wrong. What's your solution to the problem, Glenn? Just tell people to do right? But God has a solution to the problem, and it's really the only solution. God’s solution is Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, who said, “You must be born again.” (John chapt. 3) Fred Hoehn Searching For the Real Christianity by Frederick Hoehn copyright 2012, all rights reserved I became a Christian at the early age of about 4 years old. It was good that my mother had found a church that taught right doctrine. When I was about 16, approximately half a century ago, I remember sitting in church and thinking, "These people are nice people, but it seems like there ought to be more to Christianity than I have found thus far." I was right about that. There was more. Lots more. In Mark 16:17,18, Jesus said, "These signs shall follow those who believe, in my name, they'll cast out devils, they'll speak with new tongues...they'll lay hands on the sick and they'll recover." That church I grew up in, though they had pretty good doctrine, pretty good theology, they did not cast demons out of people. There was some speaking in unknown tongues. There were not many miraculous healings. The speaking in unknown tongues comes from getting the Baptism with the Holy Ghost (or, Holy Spirit, or, Comforter). When Jesus baptizes a Christian with the Holy Ghost, that Christian acquires a new prayer language. The new language is a language unknown to the person doing the speaking, thus the phrase "unknown tongues." It is possible, however, that someone else who hears the person speaking in unknown tongues might understand what is being said, but the person speaking doesn't. How is it possible for someone to speak in a language that they never learned? When Jesus baptizes a Christian with the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost gives words to that person in a strange language to speak out. The person gives voice to and speaks out those words that he doesn't understand. God doesn’t take control of your lips, tongue, and vocal cords, and make you talk. No, the Holy Ghost (or, Holy Spirit) gives you words, and then you speak out those strange words. But God understands all languages. The Apostle Paul says, "If I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful." (1 Cor 14:14) But why is his understanding unfruitful? Because he doesn't understand the words he is speaking in the unknown tongue (language). So, why pray in a language you don't understand? To obey God and to please God, since that is what God wants you to do, if you're a Christian. And if you're not a Christian, God wants you to become one so you can go to heaven and avoid going to hell, where most people go because they didn’t have Jesus. “Broad is the way that leads to destruction, and those who go there are many, but the gate is restricted, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matt 7:13,14) In fact, when you leave this life, you go out into eternity, and to one of two destinations: heaven, or hell. If you were a Christian, you go to heaven. Otherwise, you go to hell. My Dad used to think that when you die, that’s the end of it. Dad was wrong. When you die, it’s only your body that dies. Then you, the person who lived in that house that was your body, go either to heaven or hell. How do we know that? Because Jesus said so. And Jesus never lies. But we pray in unknown tongues not just to obey and please God, but also because it builds us up on our most holy faith. Jude verse 20,21 says, “But you beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God…” And why do we want strong faith? Because, “Without faith it’s impossible to please him, for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he’s a rewarder of those who seek him. (Heb 11:6) We want strong faith so that we will get the things we ask God for in our prayers. “When you pray, believe you receive the things you ask for , and you’ll have them,” says Jesus in Mark 11:24. This believing when we pray is making use of our faith. Faith that we want to be strong so that we get our prayers answered. Faith is rather like a muscle. If you exercise the muscle, it gets stronger. George Mueller, who started orphanages in England said at the beginning, it took all the faith he had just to pray in enough food for the children. But after some decades, he said he could easily pray for and receive a million pounds, which would be like two million dollars. Why, because his faith got stronger as he used it. Another scripture says, “The just shall live by his faith.” (Hab 2:4) “For we walk by faith, not by sight…” (2 Cor 5:7) You see, God wants his people to live by their faith. You don’t just become a Christian, adding that to who you used to be, and then continue to live by your wits like the rest of the world does. That’s not the Real Christianity. No, use your wits to find ways to apply faith. Use your wits to find ways to apply scriptures from the Bible. Use your wits to compose faith-filled words to use in speaking things into existence for you and your family. Use your wits to compose good prayers to pray to God. “Likewise the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know what we should pray for as we ought to, but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings that can't be uttered in articulate speech. And he that searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” (Rom 8:26,27) So then, we can pray more effectively by praying in unknown tongues than by praying only in our known languages. In Acts 1:8, Jesus said, “You’ll receive power after the Holy Ghost has come on you.” You’ll be a stronger Christian after you’ve been baptized with the Holy Ghost and pray every day with unknown tongues. In fact, 1 Thess 5:17 says, “Pray without stopping.” Just never stop praying. I realize you might have to interrupt your praying to answer the phone, or to speak to your child, but then resume the praying. But we should also spend time worshiping the Lord, and Christians should also spend time speaking out loud God’s promises over ourselves and our families because claiming God’s promises helps us to believe for, and get the benefits of those promises. Now beside the unknown tongues in Mark 16:17,18, there are also the healings and the casting out of demons. Strong faith will help us get the healings. Jesus said, “Ask and it shall be given to you.” Matt 7:7 But a thing that’s lacking in so many churches is the casting out of demons. There is not enough teaching on this subject. It should be pretty much a normal, every day thing that Christians cast out demons. After becoming a Christian at a very young age, it wasn’t until about my late thirties that I ran across Pastor Win Worley, who came to Houston where I was residing, and held a three day seminar. Worley said, “At our church in Highland, IN, we cast out a lot of demons. And most of the people we cast demons out of are Christians.” I said to myself, “What? I never heard that before. I never heard that a Christian could have a demon.” I didn’t necessarily buy it right away, but Worley was right. Christians can have demons. I use the example of someone who might have broken his arm and is wearing a cast on his arm. Then the person becomes a Christian still wearing the cast on his arm. When he becomes a Christian, does God immediately restore the arm to perfect health and remove the man’s cast? Well, God could do that, but usually not. More likely, God will let the natural healing process continue, and when it’s about time for the cast to be removed, someone will cut the cast off of the arm. Similarly, if a person who has some demons becomes a Christian, those demons don’t automatically go out just because the host became a Christian. No, in fact, the demons don’t go out until some Christian casts them out (or, they’ll go out when the host dies). The person casting out the demons could be the one who has the demons, or some other Christian could cast them out. But demons don’t want to go, and they don’t have to go until a Christian casts them out. Jesus gave the Christians authority to cast out demons in Luke 10:19. It says, “over all the power of the enemy,” and our main enemy is Satan and his demons, according to Ephesians chapter 6. Unbelievers don’t have authority over demons, as can be seen in the book of Acts, chapter 19, regarding the seven sons of Sceva, who got beaten up because they tried to cast out demons being Jews, but not Christians. Charles Capps teaches about Christians speaking things into existence in his terrific little book, “God’s Creative Power will Work for You,” available at Christian book stores, or at www.CharlesCapps.com Good News for Jews by Frederick Hoehn Dear Rabbi: I have very good news. The Messiah waited for by the Jews has come. His name is Jesus. He was born of a virgin (Mary). Decended from David by genealogy. Was a Nazarene from Nazareth. Spent some time in Egypt ("Out of Egypt have I called my son"). Born in Bethlehem. He was preceded by John the Baptist, son of Zachariah and Elizabeth, who walked in the spirit and power of Elijah. John said of Jesus, "After me comes he that is mightier than me, whose shoe latchet I am unworthy to unloose." The words of Jesus are found in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Please spread the good news. Thank you. Fred Hoehn What Causes Sexual Promiscuity? By Frederick Hoehn, copyright 2011, all rights reserved Subject: Answer to your question, Sean, “What causes this?” 06/03/11 Sean Hannity: I was in and out of the apartment today, but left the radio on. Came back to hear you talking with a caller to your show about Schwarzenegger, John Edwards, Anthony Weiner, the guy in New York's 26th district, I think you said, and several other examples. Then you asked, "What's going on here; what causes this?" The woman said something, and again you asked, "What causes this?" Is this really such a mystery, Sean? I'll tell you what causes that. What has been caused, is a form of insanity. And many men have the problem, and a few women. It is caused by disobedience to God, and multitudes of people disobey God, sometimes because they don't know what God has said. While Jesus was on earth, he told us, "He that looks at a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart," (Matt. 5:28) Haven't you heard of "the corruption that is in the world through lust"? (2 Pet.1:4) I was riding a bus from one city to another city, and started talking with a young Afro-American man across the aisle. I remember saying to him, "...and that's why pornography is wrong, because Jesus said, He that looks at a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.” (Matt. 5:28) That was something new to the young man. He said he had thought pornography was just a normal part of life. He started calling and texting his friends to tell them if they had any porn to get rid of it. Glad I was able to do some good. We've been told to "keep the flesh under subjection," the Apostle Paul says. 1 Cor. 9:27 But I keep my body under, and bring it into subjection, lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a throw away. 1 Cor. 11:1 Be followers of me, just as I also am of Christ. We've been told to "Bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ," (2 Cor. 10:4,5) Of course, you're not likely to do that if you're not a Christian, which is one reason why everyone needs Jesus, and his Baptism with the Holy Ghost, with the speaking in unknown tongues. Men and women have natural desires toward the opposite sex. But those desires are exaggerated when people use pornography. Playboy and magazines like it, and X rated videos & DVD's. And the Internet has a lot of junk. People need to stay away from all of that porn. Probably most people know examples of those hooked on alcohol. Others get hooked on illegal drugs. Others get hooked on gambling. Some get hooked on tobacco. Karen Carpenter was a very popular American singer. She got hooked on an excessive desire to lose weight called Anorexia. Her body got so weak that it just died, at age 32. I believe she had a demon of Anorexia that needed to be cast out of her in the name of Jesus. I was not aware she had a problem, and suddenly, she was dead. And, of course, there's the negligence, decades ago, of the U.S. Supreme Court, when the pornography issue came before it. The court ruled it was a community issue, and left it to communities to deal with. Too bad they didn't know that pornography kills people like alcohol does, or illegal drugs, or demon possession. We are told, "Don't love the world, nor the things that are in the world." 1 John 2:15 Don't love the world, nor the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:17 And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but he that does the will of God lives forever. That passage forbids pornography, among other things. That's what's causing it, Sean, together with the activity of demons, who are fallen angels, spirit beings, who tempt people to do things people ought not to do. Proverbs 4:23-- "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life." Those men weren't keeping their hearts with all diligence. Fred Hoehn About Churches by Frederick Hoehn copyright 2012, all rights reserved Dear Mr. K: You asked me about a good church to go to. I've been praying about what church to go to for years, and I still don't know a really good one. I have church with people on a one-to-one basis when two or a few Christians meet, for it is written, "Wherever two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them," says Jesus. But in the package of things I handed you yesterday, there was a piece of paper listing a few churches. Some of them I got by going to www.Rhema.org. There's a place on that website about "find a church," or something like that. If you pick a church from their list, I don't think you'll go very far wrong. The original founder of Kenneth Hagin Ministries is Kenneth E. Hagin, who is the best Bible teacher I know of, (of the well-known teachers, but I like to think I’m pretty good, too.) His books and CD's are available at that website. There is also a Kenneth W. Hagin, but I don't seem to get as much out of his teaching as I do from Kenneth E. Hagin. Of course, any church you go to, you have to listen to what they say, and compare what they teach with the Bible. If they're teaching contrary to the Bible, then probably God has a better church for you. Before looking for a church, pray and ask God to help you find the right church for you. When you pray, believe that you receive the things you ask for, and you shall have them. (Mark 11:24) But if you don't believe, then you don't receive. Another possible source for churches is at www.kcm.org They have churches listed there, but they have a problem in their alphabetizing. I was looking for a church in a certain state, and the state was found on the list, but not where you would expect in the correct alphabetical order. Another church I mentioned there is from some young people I met who go there. But I understand that that last church on the paper is an Assembly of God church. I know about AOG because I grew up in one of their churches. They're pretty good about basic Bible doctrines, but don't seem to be very good about the "signs following" of Mark chapter 16, where Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow those who believe, in my name they'll cast out devils, they'll speak with new languages, They shall pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it won't hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick, and they'll recover." Notice that the very first sign is, "In my name they'll cast out devils." I've never in my life seen that done at any Assembly of God church that I've gone to. But I'm sure they would tell you they believe in that. They just don't seem to do it. Dr. Norvel Hayes said the Lord told him, "Now these are the most important words that ever came out of my mouth..." and he meant the words of Mark chapter 16, verses 17 and 18, as I've just included above. Foursquare is rather like Assembly of God. And so I look for those signs following in a prospective church, and am disappointed if they don't have them. But among those five signs following, I don't believe we're intentionally supposed to handle poisonous snakes, except like the Apostle Paul, by accident, after the shipwreck in the book of Acts. And so, too for drinking deadly things. But if we accidentally drink the wrong thing, or if someone tries to poison a Christian, then we have a right to expect God's help. "They shall speak with new languages" means the speaking in unknown tongues when that Christian receives the Baptism with the Holy Ghost with the speaking in unknown tongues. Dr. Norvel Hayes has a website at www.nhm.cc and he is one of the better Bible teachers, and casts out devils from people. He learned some from Lester Sumrall of LESEA Broadcasting. I believe they have a website. I also included for you some pages out of the yellow pages in the phone book. You'll see Catholic churches listed in the yellow pages, but don't go to a Catholic church. They have a prayer called "The Rosary," which is addressed to Mary. Anyone praying to Mary is committing the sin of idolatry. ("Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.") Also, when they pray the Rosary, they use prayer beads to count the repetitions of the prayer. But Jesus said, "When you pray, don't use vain repetition..." But, you see, they'd rather follow their Catholic customs than obey the Lord Jesus Christ. It will go ill with them on Judgment Day. There are churches listed with "Apostolic" in their name. I'm not against the apostles, I'm for the apostles. But churches that use "Apostolic" in their name are generally "Jesus Only" churches, that is, they have the false doctrine that God the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost are all different forms of Jesus. Wrong. God the Father and Jesus are two different individuals. United Pentecostal Church has the same false doctrine. Lutherans, Baptists, and Presbyterians generally don't have the Baptism with the Holy Ghost with the speaking in unknown tongues. The unknown tongue is a language unknown to the person speaking it. The Holy Ghost gives him the words to speak, then that Christian adds his voice and speaks those words out. Baha'i is not Christian, nor is Buddhist, nor Muslim (the religion of Islam), nor "Christian Science," even though they have Christian in their name, they're not Christian, nor is Religious Science, nor Scientology, nor Jehovah's Witnesses, who have also removed things out of the Bible, nor Eckankar, nor Hindu, nor "Science of Mind." I think that Seventh Day Adventists generally don't have the Baptism with the Holy Ghost with the speaking in unknown tongues. Brother Fred Win Worley, Pioneer in Exorcism by Frederick Hoehn copyright 2012, all rights reserved Win Worley was pastor of the Hegewisch Baptist Church in Highland, IN. (near Hammond, IN) But I think he was from Texas. Perhaps near Mesquite, TX. He and his wife prayed and asked the Lord to just use them however He chose. The Lord led them into a deliverance ministry, that is, the casting out of demons (exorcism). I’m aware there was a movie about exorcism, or perhaps several. But I deliberately stay away from commercial movies on the subject because I’m sure they’re not made with diligence regarding correct theology, but rather, screenwriters take liberties to try to present what would sell the most tickets. Why worry about accurate theology? (And the answer to that is “because God punishes liars in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone.”) (Revelation 21:8) So Win Worley proceeded to cast out a lot of demons from people, and wrote books about it, and held seminars at their church there, and in one or more other cities, such as Houston, TX at that church on Satsuma St., I think it was. Worley wrote books like “Battling the Hosts of Hell, Conquering the Hosts of Hell, Demolishing the Hosts of Hell, Abolishing the Hosts of Hell.” I was in Houston when a lady I’d met at a prayer meeting told me about three days of meetings in Houston with Win Worley. There was a bit of a conflict with the schedule ‘cause I was working 2nd shift at the time. But I finally made it to the third night’s meeting. Worley said, “At our church in Indiana, we cast a lot of demons out of people, and most of the people we cast demons out of are Christians.” I said to myself, “What? I never heard that before.” (And I’d already been a Christian for about three and a half decades.) I had grown up in an Assembly of God church in California, sometimes also visiting a Foursquare church. I’d never heard any pastor, or evangelist, or teacher say that Christians can have demons. And that Assembly of God denomination is supposed to be full-gospel, Pentecostal, Charismatic. One definition of the word charismatic is, if someone’s charismatic, he’s a good speaker, and by what he says, attractive to the audience. No, I mean the other definition of charismatic, meaning tongue-talking, baptized with the Holy Ghost, speaks in unknown tongues. The unknown tongue (or, language) is unknown to the person speaking it, whether or not someone hearing might understand. How can a person speak in a language he doesn’t understand? Because, after Jesus baptizes with the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost provides the words for that Christian to speak. Jesus won’t baptize anyone with the Holy Ghost if they’re not a Christian. Well yes, the AOG did have the unknown tongues, and I got the Baptism with the Holy Ghost from the Lord when I was a teenager. But I never saw a demon cast out of anyone at an Assembly of God church. I’m sure they would say they believe in that, since it’s certainly scriptural to do so, but why then has it not been visible in AOG churches that I’ve gone to over decades of years? Is it because they did really have the fire when they started a century ago, but then cooled down to lukewarm as time went by? (See Rev. 3:16) I’ve been a student of Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin by hearing him teach in meetings, reading his books, listening to his tapes. He’s one of the best Bible teachers I’ve found, but I don’t remember his ever saying that Christians can have demons. I didn’t necessarily buy it just because Worley had said Christians can have demons. A preacher might have some bad theology. Buck and Gladys Hammond were present at those Worley meetings. They had an audio cassette tape ministry, and had recorded the teaching, and made duplicate tapes available at a very reasonable price. So I bought some Worley tapes and listened. The guy was giving scripture for what he was saying. Jesus basically said, “You’re either with me or against me.” It was clear Worley was for Jesus and against the devil. And he was right. A Christian can have one or more demons, and if a Christian does, he should cast out those demons, as per Luke 10:19 and Mark chapter 16. Thank God for that Hammond’s tape ministry, and for Pastor Win Worley and his wife. Another Christian man said that as he was listening to some Win Worley tapes, he nearly killed himself while listening. (I’m sure he meant accidentally. Perhaps he was driving at the time.) The tapes were quite absorbing. I know exactly what he meant, I got a traffic citation while driving and listening to the tapes for exceeding the speed limit. It was powerful stuff. Probably better to listen to Worley recordings at home. When the Worleys first started casting out demons, I understand they had not been baptized with the Holy Ghost. But they found that after they did get baptized with the Holy Ghost with the speaking in unknown tongues, they had more power in casting out demons. (See Acts 1:8) They also found that there was an advantage in the ladies of the church wearing a head covering, and if nothing else, just a facial tissue on their heads, during the casting out of demons. (See 1 Cor 11:5) But Jesus did say that some demons don’t go out without prayer and fasting. (Matt 17:21) Lester Sumrall prayed and fasted before that famous exorcism he did in the Philippines, described in his book, “Demons, the Answer Book.” If you find that book, pay special attention to the chapter titled, “Bitten by demons.” The woman had fang marks in her arm from being bitten by a demon. Sumrall cast the demons out of her. It was a national news story at the time in the Philippines, and there was rejoicing. Worley compiled a list of some 1,100 names of demons. I’m not sure that’s necessary. I believe the Holy Ghost (or, Holy Spirit) guides Christians who cast out demons. Don’t ever try to cast out demons if you’re not a Christian. You could get hurt like the seven sons of Sceva in the book of Acts. They were Jewish, but not Christians, and got beaten up by the demon-possessed man. Another name for Jews who are Christians is “Messianic Jews,” or, you might say, “Fulfilled Jews.” Jews who are not Messianic Jews are still looking for the Messiah (the savior) to come, and are unaware that he has already come, and that his name is Jesus. The Jews will find a counterfeit messiah in the “Antichrist,” also called “The Beast.” (See the books of Daniel and Revelation in the Bible.) That was a very important lesson that I learned from Win Worley. Thank God for his ministry. But Worley died unnecessarily prematurely, I believe. Perhaps he was in his fifties, or perhaps early sixties. Worley decided to go on a long fast, and stopped eating. He developed medical complications and died. This matter was more difficult due to the fact that Worley was obese. When Jesus cast the demons out of the Gadarene demoniac, he asked, “What is your name.” One of the demons answered, using the man’s voice, “My name is legion, for we are many.” I understand a legion could be two thousand or more. When casting out demons, it is sometimes appropriate to ask, “What is your name?,” or, “How many of you are there?” But I believe it’s a mistake to go further into conversation with demons, and Win Worley did get into conversation with demons, unwisely I believe. There was some discussion between Worley and a demon about “Faith Preachers.” I’ve heard Worley speak a bit scornfully about “Faith Preachers.” Perhaps Worley thought he was somewhat more advanced than Faith Preachers. But I’ve been a student of Faith Preachers such as Kenneth E. Hagin and Norvel Hayes and Charles Capps. (www.Rhema.org, www.nhm.cc, www.CharlesCapps.com) Hayes had been a student of Lester Sumrall. Sumrall founded LESEA Broadcasting, and Lester Sumrall Evangelistic Association (LESEA). In Hosea 4:6, God says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” I believe if Worley had known more of what some of those faith preachers taught, that knowledge could easily have prevented his premature death. Knowledge, for example, about speaking things into existence, about binding and loosing, about ignoring the contradictory circumstances, about worshiping the Lord for healing, about claiming our needs to be met, the daily quoting out loud or reading out loud of promises to God’s people from his book, the Holy bible, and the application of Mark 11:23,24. Dr. Norvel Hayes said the Lord told him, “If there’s anyone out there with anything wrong with their bodies, they’re not worshiping me enough.” Yes, I believe the Lord said that. A good book about Christians speaking things into existence is, “God’s Creative Power Will Work for You,” by Charles Capps. Capps said the Lord told him, “I’ve told my people they can have what they say, but instead, they are saying what they have.” (Mark 11:23) I heard a young man say, “I don’t read other books, I just get my teaching from the Bible.” But then why did God give us teachers? (Eph 4:11) And there’s a scripture, “Cast out the scorner.” (Prov. 22:10) Sometimes one preacher can be scornful of another preacher. Worley may have paid a price for that mistake. Another mistake he made is to teach people to return curses to the sender, but Jesus said, “…bless those who curse you…”. (Matt 5:44) Therefore, a better strategy would be to say out loud, “I break every curse, hex, vex, spell, love potion, etc. that’s come my way, and bless the sender, in Jesus’ name.” You have the right to use Jesus’ name if you’re a Christian. Of course, there are some people who’ve been in the ministry and did a very poor job. I don’t say we shouldn’t be critical of rotten apples. I look forward to shaking Win Worley’s hand when I get to heaven, since I am also one of those whose name is written in the “Lamb’s Book of Life.” (Rev. 13:8) Is your name in that book, my friend? Letter to Bryzinski by Frederick Hoehn copyright 2011, all rights reserved 02/12/11 Dear Mr. Bryzinski: The other day on TV, probably the Jim Lehrer News Hour, in talking about revolution in Egypt, you brought up the revolution in Poland involving Solidarity, and what you referred to as "the church." What church is that, Mr. Bryzinski? But I've heard that the Catholic church is big in Poland. Perhaps you meant the Catholic church. If you were raised a Catholic and are now one, then probably you really do think that the real church is the Catholic church. People tend to think that whatever their church is must be the right one. But in that case you'd be wrong. Now if someone were participating in a discussion that was already understood by all to be about the Catholic church, then to use the phrase "the church" would obviously mean the Catholic church. But to use the phrase "the church" randomly, without predefining what is meant, is to use the phrase incorrectly, since you didn’t specify what church was meant. The Catholic church is not "the church." It is merely one of the many churches. Nor is it the best of the churches. Many Catholics believe that the Catholic church is going to get them to heaven. But it is not, because Jesus said, "You must be born again." (John chapter 3) While living in Houston, my wife & I met Charles & Elizabeth Melton who had come out of the Catholic church. They said, "When we were in the Catholic church, we were not taught what Jesus said, 'You must be born again.' " No, they said they were taught that you would go to heaven if you were a good Catholic. No you won't. You must be born again, Jesus said. You get born again when you hear the gospel message, and then do as in Romans 10:9,10: “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you’re saved, for with the heart, man believes for righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made for salvation.” But people who are trusting the Catholic church to get them to heaven, and leaving out Romans 10:9,10, will be severely disappointed for eternity (forever). The definition of "the church" is what God says it is. And where does God tell us? In his book, the Holy Bible, where God says the church is all the believers in Jesus. Of course, there might be some born-again Christians in the Catholic church, but probably most Catholics go to hell for not being born again. In fact, Jesus said, “Broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go there; narrow is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matt 7:13,14) Catholics also have a prayer called "The Rosary." It is a prayer addressed to Mary. There is no scripture anywhere in the Bible authorizing anyone to pray to Mary. No one in the Bible prayed to Mary. God said, "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me." To pray to Mary is to commit the sin of idolatry. Furthermore, if you pray to Mary, she can't hear you. How do I know that? From Kenneth E. Hagin, who walked in the office of a prophet and teacher. Hagin taught that people in heaven don't know what's happening on earth, although they might know when a sinner gets born again, because the Bible says that when that happens, the angels rejoice. People in heaven are likely to ask angels, "What are you rejoicing about?" Catholics also have prayer beads, or "Rosary beads," often on the same necklace as a cross. The beads are for counting the repetitions of saying the Rosary prayer. Not being a Catholic, I can't say how many beads, but it appears to be twenty or more. This is very much contrary to scripture because Jesus said, "When you pray, don't use vain repetitions like the heathen do." (Matt 6:7) On their cable channel, the Catholics regularly have a fat nun who is teaching Catholics to pray the Rosary. Why is the Catholic church teaching its followers to disobey God? I don’t really watch that channel, but see it as I channel surf. The Catholic church also has a big problem with pedophile priests who sexually molest boys. It has happened many times, and they’ve been sued and had to pay out big money for that. Maybe it wasn't such a hot idea to make the Catholic priests take a vow of chastity, since they're not able to keep that vow. The Old Testament priests married and had families. Why does the Catholic church think it has a better plan than God has in the Bible? Fred Hoehn Bill Nye, Science Guy by Frederick Hoehn copyright 2012, all rights reserved I saw on the news where Bill Nye, Science Guy has come out against teaching Creationism in our schools. Evidently, Mr. Nye is an Evolutionist. Well, this is the United States, and we have freedom of religion. But those who choose the Theory of Evolution have chosen a false religion. Look up in the sky at night. What keeps all those millions of stars from crashing into each other? There’s a caterpillar that lives in extremely cold parts of the earth where summers are quite short. It eats some food and grows, but the long winter comes, and it sort of hibernates. It doesn’t quite freeze because of a chemical it has that acts like antifreeze. The next summer, it eats a little more. It takes fourteen years to turn the caterpillar into a moth which breeds, lays eggs, and the process starts all over. Bill Nye, would you have us believe that just happened by chance? Who gave those caterpillars their antifreeze? You have a bad theory there, Bill. If you really want to know how we got here, read the book of Genesis, the first book in the Bible. God did the whole creation in six twenty four hour days, and rested the seventh day. A man tried to correct me one time. He said, “The Bible doesn’t say twenty four days.” Oh, really? The Bible says, “the evening and the morning were the first day…second day…third day.” (Book of Genesis) God counts days as starting with a night. One twelve hour night (on average) plus one twelve hour daytime equals one twenty four hour day. Maybe you and all your friends, Bill, buy into the Theory of Evolution, but you’re buying into a lie. The fool has said in his heart there is no God, Bill. (Psalm 14:1) If you say evolution is how we got here, Bill, then you’re saying God’s book, the Holy Bible, is a lie. But on Judgment Day, Bill, God will say that it is you that is the liar, and “All liars shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone.” (Revelation 21:8) When you get there to the fire and brimstone, Bill, you won’t like it, and you will be seen to be Bill Nye, the guy of pseudoscience. Or, you could get straight with God now, and avoid the overwhelming heat that lasts forever. Book of Lamentations, Hoehn Version Copyright 2011, All Rights Reserved The Hoehn Version of the Holy Bible is simply the Holy Bible in plain American English. Editor: Frederick E. Hoehn. ___Lamentations chapter 1 1 How the city sits solitary that was full of people! How she has become like a widow! She that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how she has become tributary! 2 She weeps severely in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks, among all her lovers, she has no one to comfort her, all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they've become her enemies. 3 Judah has gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude, she lives among the heathen, she finds no rest, all her persecutors overtook her between the straits. 4 The ways of Zion mourn, because no one comes to the solemn feasts, all her gates are desolate, her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness. 5 Her adversaries are on top, her enemies prosper, for the Lord has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions, her children have gone into captivity before the enemy. 6 And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty has departed, her princes have become like deer that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer. 7 Jerusalem remembered all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, in the days of her affliction and of her miseries, when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and no one helped her, the adversaries saw her and mocked at her Sabbaths. 8 Jerusalem has grievously sinned, therefore she's been removed, all that honored her despise her, because they've seen her nakedness, yes, she sighs, and turns backward. 9 Her filthiness is in her skirts, she doesn't remember her last end, therefore she came down wonderfully, she had no comforter. O Lord, see my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself. 10 The adversary has spread out his hand on all her pleasant things, for she has seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom you commanded not to enter into your congregation. 11 All her people sigh, they seek for bread, they've given their pleasant things for food to relieve the soul, see O Lord, and consider, for I've become filthy. 12 Is it nothing to you, all you that pass by? Look and see if there's any sorrow like my sorrow that has been done to me, with which the Lord has afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger. 13 He's sent fire from above into my bones, and it prevails against them, he has spread a net for my feet, he has turned me back, he has made me desolate and faint all day long. 14 The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand, they're wreathed, and come up on my neck, he's made my strength to fall, the Lord has delivered me into their hands, from whom I'm not able to rise up. 15 The Lord has trampled under foot all my mighty men that were among me, he has called an assembly against me to crush my young men, the Lord trampled the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as if in a winepress. 16 I weep for these things, my eye, my eye runs down with water, because the comforter that ought to relieve my soul is far from me, my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed. 17 Zion spreads out her hands, and there is no one to comfort her, the Lord has commanded concerning Jacob that those around him should be his adversaries, Jerusalem is like a menstruous woman among them. 18 The Lord is righteous, for I've rebelled against his commandment, hear please, all people, and see my sorrow, my virgins and my young men have gone into captivity. 19 I called for my lovers, but they deceived me, my priests and my elders died in the city, while they sought their food to relieve their souls. 20 See, O Lord, for I'm in distress, my bowels are troubled, my heart has turned inside me, for I've grievously rebelled, the sword bereaves abroad, at home there is like death. 21 They've heard that I sigh, there's no one to comfort me, all my enemies have heard of my trouble, they're glad that you've done it, you'll bring the day that you've called for, and they'll be like me. 22 Let all their wickedness come before you, and do to them like you've done to me for all my transgressions, for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint. ___Lamentations chapter 2 1 How has the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and thrown down from heaven to the ground the beauty of Israel, and not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger! 2 The Lord has swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hasn't pitied, in his anger, he has thrown down the strong holds of the daughter of Judah, he has brought them down to the ground, he has polluted the kingdom and the princes of it. 3 He has cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel, he has drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire that devours all around. 4 He has bent his bow like an enemy, he stood with his right hand like an adversary, and killed all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion, he poured out his fury like fire. 5 The Lord was like an enemy, he has swallowed up Israel, he has swallowed up all her palaces, he has destroyed his strong holds, and has increased mourning and lamentation in the daughter of Judah. 6 And he has violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were for a garden, he has destroyed his places of the assembly, the Lord has caused the solemn feasts and Sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and in the indignation of his anger has despised the king and the priest. 7 The Lord has thrown away his altar, he has hated his sanctuary, he has surrendered the walls of her palaces into the hand of the enemy, they've made a noise in the house of the Lord, like in the day of a solemn feast. 8 The Lord has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion, he has stretched out a line, he has not withdrawn his hand from destroying, therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament, they languished together. 9 Her gates have sunk into the ground, he has destroyed and broken the bars of her gates, her king and her princes are among the Gentiles, there's no more law, her prophets also find no vision from the Lord. 10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit on the ground, and keep silence, they've thrown up dust on their heads, they've girded themselves with sackcloth, the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground. 11 My eyes fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver has been poured on the earth for the destruction of the daughter of my people, because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city. 12 They say to their mothers, "Where's corn and wine?" When they fainted like the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers' bosom. 13 What thing shall I take to witness for you? What thing shall I liken to you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I equal to you, so I can comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? For your breach is great like the sea, who can heal you? 14 Your prophets have seen vain and foolish things for you, and they haven't discovered your sin, to turn away your captivity, but have seen false burdens and causes of banishment for you. 15 All that pass by clap their hands at you, they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, "Is this the city that men call the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?" 16 All your enemies have opened their mouth against you, they hiss and gnash the teeth, they say, "We've swallowed her up, certainly this is the day that we looked for, we have found, we have seen it." 17 The Lord has done what he had devised, he has fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old, he has thrown down, and has not pitied, and he has caused your enemy to rejoice over you, he has set up the horn of your adversaries. 18 Their heart shouted to the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night, give yourself no rest, don't let the apple of your eye stop. 19 Get up, cry out in the night, in the beginning of the watches pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord, lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children that faint for hunger at the top of every street. 20 See, O Lord, and consider to whom you've done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? Shall the priest and the prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord? 21 The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets, my virgins and my young men have fallen by the sword, you've killed them in the day of your anger, you've killed, and haven't pitied. 22 You've called my terrors all around like on a solemn day, so that on the day of the Lord's anger, no one escaped nor remained, those that I've swaddled and brought up, my enemy has consumed. ___Lamentations chapter 3 1 I am the man that has seen affliction by the rod of his anger. 2 He has led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light. 3 Surely he has turned against me, he turns his hand against me all day long. 4 He has made my flesh and my skin old, he has broken my bones. 5 He has built against me, and surrounded me with gall and travail. 6 He has set me in dark places, like those who are long dead. 7 He has hedged me in so that I can't get out, he has made my chain heavy. 8 Also when I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayer. 9 He has enclosed my ways with cut stone, he has made my paths crooked. 10 He was to me like a bear lying in ambush, and like a lion in secret places. 11 He has turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces, he has made me desolate. 12 He has bent his bow, and set me like a target for arrows. 13 He has caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins. 14 I was a derision to all my people, and their song all the day. 15 He has filled me with bitterness, he has made me drunken with wormwood. 16 He has also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he has covered me with ashes. 17 And you've removed my soul far off from peace, I've forgotten prosperity. 18 And I said, my strength and my hope has perished from the Lord, 19 Remembering my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. 20 My soul still remembers them, and is humbled in me. 21 I recall this to mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions don't fail. 23 They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. 24 The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I will hope in him. 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him. 26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. 27 It is good for a man to bear the yoke in his youth. 28 He sits alone and keeps silence, because he has carried it on himself. 29 He puts his mouth in the dust, if there might be hope. 30 He gives his cheek to him that strikes him, he is filled full with reproach. 31 For the Lord won't throw off forever, 32 But though he causes grief, yet he'll have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies. 33 For he doesn't afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. 34 To crush all the prisoners of the earth under his feet, 35 To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most high, 36 The Lord doesn't approve subverting a man in his cause. 37 Who is he that speaks and then it happens, if the Lord doesn't command it? 38 Doesn't evil and good proceed out of the mouth of the most high? 39 Why should a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins? 40 Let us search and test our ways, and turn again to the Lord. 41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens. 42 We've transgressed and have rebelled, you haven't pardoned. 43 You've covered us with anger, and persecuted us, you've killed, you haven't pitied. 44 You've covered yourself with a cloud, so that our prayer won't pass through. 45 You've made us like the off-scouring and refuse among the people. 46 All our enemies have opened their mouths against us. 47 Fear and a trap has come on us, desolation and destruction. 48 My eye runs down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people. 49 My eye trickles down, and doesn't stop, without any intermission, 50 'Til the Lord looks down, and sees from heaven. 51 My eye affects my heart because of all the daughters of my city. 52 My enemies hunted me down like a bird, without a reason. 53 They've cut off my life in the dungeon, and thrown stones at me. 54 Waters flowed over my head, then I said, "I'm cut off." 55 I called on your name, O Lord, out of the low dungeon. 56 You've heard my voice, don't hide your ear at my breathing, at my cry. 57 You came near on the day that I called on you, you said don't be afraid. 58 O Lord, you've pleaded the causes of my soul, you've redeemed my life. 59 O Lord, you've seen my wrong, judge my cause. 60 You've seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me. 61 You've heard their reproach, O Lord, and all their imaginations against me, 62 The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day. 63 See their sitting down, and their rising up, I am their music. 64 Give them a repayment, O Lord, according to the work of their hands. 65 Give them sorrow of heart, your curse to them. 66 Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the Lord. ___Lamentations chapter 4 1 How has the gold become dim! How has the most fine gold changed! The stones of the sanctuary have been poured out at the top of every street. 2 The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how have they become esteemed like clay pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter! 3 Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones, the daughter of my people has become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness. 4 The tongue of the sucking child sticks to the roof of his mouth for thirst, the young children ask for bread, and no man breaks it to them. 5 Those who ate delicately are desolate in the streets, those who were brought up in red cloth embrace manure piles. 6 For the punishment of the sin of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown in a moment, and no hands stayed on her. 7 Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire, 8 Their face is blacker than a coal, they're not known in the streets, their skin sticks to their bones, it is withered, it has become like a stick. 9 Those who are killed by the sword are better than those who are killed by hunger, for these pine away, stricken through for lack of the fruits of the field. 10 The hands of the pitiful women have marinated their own children, they were their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people. 11 The Lord has accomplished his fury, he has poured out his fierce anger, and has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured the foundations of it. 12 The kings of the earth and all the inhabitants of the world wouldn't have believed that the adversary and the enemy would have entered into the gates of Jerusalem. 13 For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the righteous among her, 14 They've wandered like blind men in the streets, they've polluted themselves with blood, so that men couldn't touch their garments. 15 They shouted to them, "Depart, it is unclean, depart, depart, don't touch," when they fled away and wandered, they said among the heathen, "They shall visit there no more." 16 The anger of the Lord has divided them, he will no longer regard them, they didn't respect the persons of the priests, they didn't favor the elders. 17 As for us, our eyes as yet failed for our nonexistent help, in our watching, we've looked for a nation that couldn't save us. 18 They hunt our steps, so that we can't go into our streets, our end is near, our days have been fulfilled, for our end has come. 19 Our persecutors are swifter than the eagles of the heaven, they pursued us on the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness. 20 The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the Lord, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, under his shadow we shall live among the heathen. 21 Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, who lives in the land of Uz, the cup also shall pass through to you, you shall be drunken and shall make yourself naked. 22 The punishment of your iniquity has been accomplished, O daughter of Zion, he will no more carry you away into captivity, he will visit your iniquity, O daughter of Edom, he will discover your sins. ___Lamentations chapter 5 1 Remember O Lord, what has come on us, consider, and see our reproach. 2 Our inheritance has gone to strangers, our houses to aliens. 3 We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are like widows. 4 We've drunken our water for money, we have to pay for our wood. 5 Our necks are under persecution, we labor and have no rest. 6 We've given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread. 7 Our fathers have sinned, and are no more, and we've carried their sins. 8 Servants have ruled over us, there is no one that delivers us out of their hand. 9 We got our bread by endangering our lives, because of the sword of the wilderness. 10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine. 11 They raped the women in Zion, and the maids in the cities of Judah. 12 Princes are hung up by their hand, the faces of elders were not honored. 13 They took the young men to do grinding, and the children fell under the wood. 14 The elders have stopped from the gate, the young men from their music. 15 The joy of our heart has stopped, our dance has turned into mourning. 16 The crown has fallen from our head, woe to us, that we have sinned! 17 Because of this our heart is faint, our eyes are dim for these things. 18 Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk on it. 19 You, O Lord, remain forever, your throne from generation to generation. 20 So do you forget us forever, and forsake us such a long time? 21 Turn us toward you, O Lord, and we shall be turned, renew our days like in old times. 22 But you've completely rejected us, you're very angry against us.
