12/22/10 John: I know that the enemy is trying to give you a hard time. But of course, he's trying to do that with all Christians. The Bible says, "Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." Jesus in us is greater than Satan and the demons in the world. The Bible says God has given us the victory. But we have to enforce that victory by using our God-given authority over Satan and the demons (Luke 10:19). We exercise that authority by opening our mouths and commanding Satan and his demons to stop what they're doing against us, in Jesus' name. If it's depression, say, "spirits of depression, go from me and don't return, in Jesus' name." I'm not just some guy who is a professing Christian, and who reads the Bible and books by Christian teachers. There is also a calling on my life from God, and an annointing on my life from God to be a priest. A king and a priest. I didn't see that God wanted me to have a career as a clergyman. My career was in electronics. But I've been witnessing to people for many years, and I've won souls for Jesus. A Christian man where I lived in Oak Park, IL, saw the annointing on me in the form of fire, and he gave a shout when he saw it. I taught him that faith is like a muscle. If you keep exercising that muscle it gets stronger. A man who was the guest speaker at a meeting of Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship in Texas where there were probably a hundred people present stopped what he was saying when he saw the annointing on me, and directly addressed me. I know that what I've been saying to you is based solidly on the Bible, and that Kenneth E. Hagin was a teacher ordained by God to be a teacher of God's people. The Bible tells us that God put teachers in the church. Hagin's one of them, and so am I. Now that Hagin's gone to be with Jesus, I've asked the Lord to make me Hagin's replacement. I believe God will do that. In Philippians 3:13,14 we are told to forget what's behind and reach out to what's ahead. Actually, Paul says he does that, but in I Cor 11:1, Paul says, "Be followers of me as I am of christ." You do want to obey God, don't you John? Then forget what has happened, such as the death of your daughter, and don't be grieving about it. There's nothing to grieve about anyway, since she was a Christian and went to be with Jesus at a place where there is no pain. Grieving unnecesarily can keep you sick, and grieving too much has probably killed some grievers. I Thessalonians 5:16 says, "Rejoice evermore." Also, and Old Testament scripture says, "The joy of the Lord is our strength." If you'll rejoice in the Lord and in what he has done for us, it will strengthen your body. Norvel Hayes is also a pretty good Bible teacher. He said the Lord told him, "If there's anyone out there with anything wrong with their bodies, they're not worshipping me enough." Hayes said the Lord told him, "Son, my people don't worship me enough, and you don't either, son. You tell the people that if they'll spend time worshipping me, they can have anything they want." Don't be grieving, John, be rejoicing that your daughter's with Jesus and with no pain. Rejoice for what the Lord's done for us. Be worshipping Jesus. Be praising God. Want some examples of worshipping God? Look in the Psalms in the Old Testament. I put a little book under your door, "The Bible Way to receive the Holy Spirit." When you get the baptism with the Holy Spirit, God doesn't move your mouth & tongue for you. No, the Holy Spirit gives you words to speak in a language you never learned, and you give a voice to those words, and speak them out. Open your mouth, and say to the Lord Jesus, "Lord, I receive from you the baptism with the Holy Spirit, then speak out those words the Holy Spirit gives you to speak in a language you never learned. You'll never run out of things to pray in unknown tongues, and you won't be using vain repetition. That word vain, there, simply means doing something that produces no results. Once you've prayed something, there's no need to keep repeating it. God heard you the first time. The Lord bless you. Fred
