Danny Danon: 10/02/12 I found your book, “Israel, the will to prevail.” I have something in common with you because I am grafted into Israel. But you are a young man, and I’m a senior citizen. Young men tend to have the idea they can make the world a better place. The only way you could do that is with the help of God. And, I’m sure God is providing some help to Israel. I like that you quoted Psalm 29:11, “The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.” But for that to happen, people must believe that scripture. I happened to find a book recently. The title was like “Not the Israel my parents told me about.” The author said in his book that he doesn’t believe in God. Soon after that, the author died. I had a Jewish friend, Virginia Trimble. We went to school together. She was one of my mother’s piano students. She invited me to her synagogue and I visited there. But later, she became an Atheist. Bad move, Virginia, and probably a fatal move. I think she fell in with the wrong crowd. She became an Astrophysicist. It seems that scientists tend to be Evolutionists, and because they think that’s how we got here, where is the need for God? But that’s not how we got here. That theory is a lie. God created us, just like he said in Genesis. But here’s a scripture I didn’t see in your book: from Jeremiah chapter 30: Verse 6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? Why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, like a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Verse 7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. I believe this “time of Jacob’s trouble” is yet in the future. You can make your plans. You can make your strategies, but the prophecies will be fulfilled. You are certainly aware that Israel is very much outnumbered in the Middle East by its adversaries. The United States has been an ally of Israel, but right now, the U.S. has this Barak Obama as President, and there’s not a lot of hope for the world if he doesn’t go away. Not for Israel, and not for the United States. I pray that God will remove Obama from the face of the earth, for the sake of the nation and of the world. Moreover, the U.S. pretty much has its hands full with Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Iran, etcetera. I wouldn’t count too heavily on the U.S., with its $16 trillion national debt. No, the only way Israel can make it through is by getting help from God, and every Israeli ought to be praying for that. The prophesied time of Jacob’s trouble must happen. The scriptures will be fulfilled. The Muslims are not as smart as the Israelis, but there are so many more of them. And they have this incorrect idea that they’re guaranteed to go to heaven if they die as Muslim martyrs, like Major Hasan hoped to do at Fort Hood, Texas. But God says, “Thou shalt not commit murder.” (Exodus chapter 20) I believe the situation for Israel will get much worse before it gets better. Frederick E.
