Dear Amy: 07/21/12 I'm typing this at my apartment (I guess the British would say "flat"), and later today I'll get over to the library to send it to you. I believe the answer to what happened to you is in the parable of the tares and the wheat (see Matt. 13:24-30). Wheat seed was planted. But when the wheat sprouted, the tares also sprouted (a kind of weed). The servants asked the master, "How did this happen. Didn't we plant good seed?" The master answered: "AN ENEMY HATH DONE THIS." What enemy did that to you, Amy? It was the devil and his demons that did that to you. God didn't lie to you because God can't lie. Also, Jesus said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Jesus also said, "He that hears these sayings of mine and does them is like a man who built his house on a foundation. The storms came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it didn't fall because it was built on a foundation." "He that doesn't do these sayings of mine is like a man that built his house on the sand. The storms came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it." So, some storms have come against you, Amy. Stick with Jesus and his words, and you'll come through just fine. Let me tell you about Brother Norvel Hayes, or we might call him Dr. Norvel Hayes because I understand he has an honorary doctorate from Oral Roberts University. Norvel had a wonderful Christian mother who loved the Lord and passed out tracts. She was raising three young children. I don't know what happened to their father. Norvel's mother died of cancer when she was only 38 and Norvel was 10. Norvel grew up struggling to survive. But he became good at pool (billiards) and became a pool hustler, and made money that way. He became a salesman and did well. He became a sales manager and prospered financially. But Norvel felt he had to get back to seeking the Lord and serving the Lord, and so he did. It began to become clear that the Lord had some kind of public ministry for Norvel. But Norvel still had some bitterness in his heart against the Lord because of his mother. Norvel said he prayed for three days about it. He prayed like this, "Lord, what do you want me to do? Do you want me to get up in front of people and tell them about you? Why did you kill my mother with cancer?" I think he said on the third day, the Lord answered him. The Lord told Norvel, "Son, I didn't kill your mother with cancer. I had nothing to do with it. The Devil put those tumors in your mother's body, and your mother couldn't receive healing because she had never been taught how to receive healing from God." His mother had gone to a church where they knew about Jesus the Savior, but they didn't know about Jesus the Healer. So Norvel stopped being bitter against the Lord, and the Lord used him as a teacher and as a healer of people and as a caster out of demons from people. I believe his website is nhm.cc NHM is Norvel Hayes Ministries. The Lord bless you. Fred Hoehn Fred Hoehn Ministries www.livingwater.bugs3.com, fredhoehn99@yahoo.com, fredhoehn@mail.com
