Do this--copy the folder from the NTHV vol 1 DVD to your Music folder that you have under Windows.  Once it's in the Music folder, and you click on one of the chapters that is a  .wma file, the O.S. should treat it like music and play through your speakers or headphones.  Be sure you're not muted, and have the volume turned up high enough.
