Thanks for your call. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Tim 1:7) From what you've said, I believe Betty needs to have one or more spirits of fear cast out of her. However, Kenneth E. Hagin has taught that you don't cast demons out of anyone if that person wants to keep their demons, but hopefully, that's not the case with Betty. You would probably be the best person to cast the demons out of Betty, Billy, because there is such a thing as "standing," when it comes to casting out of demons. If you hear about a legal case that you're interested in, and you go down to the courthouse, and sit listening to the proceedings, you might feel like you'd like to stand, and address the Judge, and say, "Your Honor, may I be heard?" The Judge might answer like this, "Who are you, and what is your standing in this case?" If you can show that you're a relative of the plaintiff or of the defendant, perhaps the Judge will let you say a few words. But if the judge finds you have no "standing" in the case, then he may say, "Sir, you have no standing in this case, and you will not be heard." You have standing because Betty was your wife. But if I were you, I'd study up some on casting out demons before doing so with Betty. And also some demons don't go without prayer and fasting. Lester Sumrall fasted one day before doing a famous exorcism in the Philippines perhaps sixty years ago. There are people who'll argue and say that a Christian can't have a demon. I wish it were true that a Christian can't have a demon, but that is not true. Some Christians have one or more demons, and I believe it's rather widespread. Smith Wigglesworth was a great man of God from England, who lived from about 1859 to about 1945. He came down with something having symptoms live appendicitis. A young man went to Wigglesworth and cast that demon out of Wigglesworth, and he was cured. Wigglesworth said it was good that they hadn't discussed it beforehand, "because I didn't believe that way." The Bible teacher I've learned most from is Kenneth E. Hagin. His materials are available at www.Rhema.org. Another Bible teacher pretty good on the subject of casting out demons is Norvel Hayes at www.nhm.cc Another authority on casting out of demons is Lester Sumrall of LESEA Broadcasting, if you can find his book, "Demons, the Answer Book," by Lester Sumrall. Another teacher worth looking into on this subject is Fred Hoehn. Please see my articles on the subject at www.fredhoehnblog.wordpress.com An index of the articles at fredhoehnblog is at www.FredHoehnMinistries.com When you find an article you're interested in, Google it. You can also google "fredhoehnblog" If you'll give me your mailing address, Billy, I'll send you at no cost a CD-ROM for your computer that will be an ebook of "The New Testament, Hoehn Version." I'd like for you to have it. It is copyrighted 2011. Beside the open letter to Cong. Rohrabacher, there are other postings at fredhoehnblog on subjects dealing with our nation, and government, including, "Why Obamacare is Unconstitutional." I believe that Barak Obama is so much a servant of Satan, (whether he realizes it or not,) that rebuking him with a letter or an email would probably be casting pearls before swine. I am sure that whenever he dies, he will go directly to hell. Hope to hear back from you. Please give me your U.S.Mail address, and I'll send you the disk. The attachment to this email is "The New Testament, Hoehn Version," but I'll send it thru the mail also, if you wish. Fred Hoehn
